ANIMAL ABUSE, A PROBLEM BEYOND SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS

2.      Introduction: Animal abuse has a broader meaning than that referring to dogs and cats, the most common household pets. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal number 15 pursues the protection of life in terrestrial ecosystems. According to the international organization, of the 8,300 known animal breeds, 8% are extinct and 22% are in danger of extinction.

 

3.     Definition: Animal abuse is a behavior exercised by the guardian towards their pet, which can cause suffering, stress or even lead to death.
